My turn to be back home! I spent the night last night at Dad’s.
The kids were happy to see me, but tired from not having good naps. Nathan did an awesome job of cleaning the house. Did I mention that the reason we were gone last weekend was because Nathan and his dad were working on our house?
Well, here is the result. I’m very, very happy with the work they did and it was cleaned up before we got home.
I’ll post pictures of the inside of the bedrooms later. They seem so much bigger now!
Dad called a half hour ago and he was on his way home.
Dad is still at United. I just talked to him (9:15am) and he said he is being moved to another room. I doubt he is coming home today, but I’m not sure yet. I can tell he is discouraged. He’s not used to sitting around doing nothing and it’s giving him too much time to think probably! Regardless, I’m going to Cottage Grove sometime today to go to a garage sale and to cancel Dad’s appointments for the rest of the week and do some cleaning. Please pray that he will feel good soon and that he will be encouraged. I don’t know what to do. I really feel so helpless.
The MRI results didn’t show anything bad enough to warrant surgery. For now, he is getting more pain medicine and muscle relaxants. Once the inflamation and the tightening lets up and he’s able to walk, he can come home.
What a weekend.
I need a vacation.
Waiting for MRI results. Dad likes his morphine.
Dad is being transfered by ambulance to United. I’m at his house with the kids. Vivian followed to the hospital.
Please pray for my Dad. He hurt his back and has been unable to really move for about 6 days. He’s really discouraged. We’re trying to figure out if we should go to urgent care today or what we should do. He can’t really get out of bed. This is a bit of a problem when I have to watch the kids too. And to tell you the truth, I really don’t want to go anywhere near the hospital right now.
Dad and I got pulled over last night on the way home from Menards. We couldn’t figure out why until the cop got up to the window and told us that our tail light was out. So, it made sense and he just gave us a warning.
The really funny part was when we got pulled over a second time 3 miles later for the exact same warning…
By the grocery store 1 block from our house…
Dad must drive suspiciously.
Youngest daugher, Maria was killed in a car accident when her brother accidentally hit her in their driveway.
This last weekend, Emily (older daughter) “came home with a ring on her hand”
