This week in photos

First, there is my little fashionista. Fabulous clothing choices, Princess.

Isaac doesn’t really want me to hold his bottle anymore, but he doesn’t sit up on his own either. So, this is how he takes his bottle sometimes. He’s almost ready to move out on his own.

Spur of the moment trip to the cemetary today. Does it look like I’m standing above the stone? Well, that’s because there was that much snow at the cemetary.

I took the kids with me. Audrey fell asleep. Ethan listened to a radio drama and Isaac mostly slept, but woke briefly for as I was coming back to the car.

The Most Amazing Post You’ll Ever Read

Last week, we had a little water problem. Seems that 9 inch thick ice on your roof can cause a bit of a problem Who knew? You did? Huh. Good for you. Click on the photo for a bigger view.

Ethan and Audrey have a closet. With shelves. Finally, it’s more than a little tiny room for Ethan to stuff all of his treasures. And when I say “treasures” I mean all the things that I was hoping to throw away because they are trash or junk.

Audrey is cute. More proof of that here. I love this little smile. I think she’s pretty. He likes to say “actually” all the time.

Isaac is also cute. I thought I would post this photo as evidence. I’m feeling a little blue today and thought that doing a strange blog post would help.

See? Wasn’t that fabulous? It’s much more interesting than this post, or this one, or even this one.
I would have posted a picture of Ethan too, but I’m having a lot of trouble posting pictures from blogger. I can do it from Picasa, but it only lets me post 4 at a time. Any thoughts on that? Anyone?

Friday check-in

For the first time in a very long time, I kept track of everything I ate for an entire week. I don’t remember when I last did that and I’m so glad I did! I was down 2.8 pounds this week. It was encouraging to make some progress. I also was down 2.75 inches from last week. So, for this month, I’m down 4.4 pounds and 5 inches.

Since I last checked in, I’ve run a little over 14 miles and I’ve been working on my Shred DVD. I took a few days off of DVD because my knees and joints were aching and I didn’t want an injury. I ran really hard on Tuesday (4 miles in 48 minutes– that’s faster than I usually do my long runs– and 4 miles is a long run for me right now) and I was feeling it the next day.

I’m still not down to my pre-holiday weight, but I’m feeling more confident that I’m going to get there. I’m going bridesmaid dress shopping next week for Brian and Missy’s wedding and I hope to be down 2 more pounds by then. Something to work toward, I guess!

2 years

I can’t believe that this was just 2 years ago. I look happy here. Clueless of how much our lives were about to change.

Some things look the same and some things have changed so much.

Audrey was the age that Chloe is right now. I look at Chloe and Audrey and I can’t believe how much little ones can learn and grow in 2 years.

This last year brought new grief challenges- learning to create a relationship with my father apart from my mother, wanting to grow and get healthier emotionally and spiritually, but grieving that mom wont be there to live it with us, thankful for those who express care and still ask about my mom and sad that so many don’t ever say anything.

Lots of links

Random links:

About Haiti-
Nikki Petersen’s cousin’s family working in Haiti and their twitter account. I’ve seen references to their blog and twitter account on CNN.

American Idol 62 year old contestant singing Pants on the Ground. I love when Simon says “I have a horrible feeling this song could be a hit.”

A great post by my friend, Kristina, about parenting.

The rapture is happening on May 21, 2011. It must be true if someone writes a book about it? Right? Anyone else remember the book detailing 87 reasons Christ was supposed to return in 1987? Good memories.

Happy Monday!
